Prof. Kunhammed. K. K

Prof. Kunhammed. K. K, PhD, is a part of the Dept. of Studies in English, Kannur University, Kerala. He completed his MA from the University of Calicut in 1988 and M. Phil from Pondicherry University in 1990. He received his Doctoral degree from the Central University of Hyderabad in 1997 and TESOL Diploma from Trinity College, London, UK in 2003. He has an experience of 29 years of teaching at different universities including University of Calicut, Kannur University and University of Sharjah in the UAE. He has published two books on English Language and several articles in books and journals on various topics. The most recent publication is a co-edited volume of collected essays entitled Theory and the Transformative Humanities published in July, 2022. His areas of specialization include Literary Theory, Philosophy and Literature, Cultural Studies, Indian Writings in English, Fiction, Poetry & ELT.

With a long experience in the Higher Education Sector, his contributions to academics in terms of teaching and research works are commendable. The way he transforms the classes into inclusive and interactive spaces, widen the perspectives of students, and engage them in a wide range of ideas, experiences and knowledge that fuel interest and motivation in them are inspiring for the younger generations of teachers.
