Prof. M. V. Narayanan

Vice-Chancellor at Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit

Prof. M. V. Narayanan, who currently serves as the Vice-Chancellor at Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, has an extensive academic and research background. Previously, he held the position of Director of the School of Languages at the University of Calicut. Prof. Narayanan is an expert in Cultural Studies, Popular Culture, Theatre & Performance Studies, and traditional Indian Theatre. He has authored many scholarly articles, including two books in Malayalam. Additionally, he is a recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Kerala Sahitya Akademi’s Kuttipuzha Endowment Award for Literary Criticism in 2021 and the Commonwealth Scholarship for research in the UK in 1989. Prof. Narayanan has also served on various curatorial committees, presented papers at national and international conferences, and held editorial positions with scholarly journals.
